The Finance group in our Lawrenceville, NJ office is responsible for maintaining and reporting the financial results of the various partnerships comprising the funds and its investments in portfolio companies to its partners and other organizations, as well as developing various financial analyses in support of decision-making by the Partners. Primary duties include:

  • Performing accounting functions to reflect fund transactions
  • Maintaining supporting records and trial balances
  • Preparing fund financial statements
  • Generating information for fund and limited partner income tax returns
  • Cash management and forecasts
  • Communication with finance staff of portfolio companies to obtain financial and accounting information for our central database
  • Develop ad-hoc analyses of financial information in our database in support of decision-making, reporting and trend analysis

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience, preferably in a private equity environment
  • Bachelors Degree and possibly CPA and/or MBA
  • Professional, focused, goal-oriented team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Inquisitive mind, creativity and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand financial statements, pertinent tax regulations and terms of agreements including limited partnership agreements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to develop complex analytical spreadsheets
