BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH COMMUNICATIONS
Edison’s Limited Partners are prestigious partners, and as such, we consider them invaluable. In both formal and informal correspondence, the Limited Partners hear from us monthly and receive quarterly comprehensive reports. Other communication includes a portfolio company reference guide, newsletters and webinars.
Edison provides opportunities for Limited Partners to co-invest and often refer candidates. We proactively introduce these organizations to portfolio companies when mutual business opportunities arise.
The General Partner receives guidance from the Advisory and Valuation Committees, of which the members represent the Limited Partners and bring considerable private equity experience. The Advisory Committee reviews our investment strategy, staffing, portfolio progress and exit plans. The Valuation Committee sets guidelines, reviews annual fair market value and resolves any conflicts of interest.
Edison conducts worthwhile Annual Meetings and Advisory Committee Meetings as well as visits Limited Partners annually to meet private equity teams and gather feedback.
From workshops to conferences, Edison holds many events for our portfolio companies and staff, extending invitation to Limited Partners as well. Management shares best practices in financial technology, healthcare IT, e-commerce and consumer, revenue generation and other industry specialties. Similarly, CEO, VP Sales, CTO and CFOs meet for specialized business functions. But it’s not all work and no play. Edison also hosts staff social events, featuring family weekends, entertainment, dinners, and friendly competitions.
