Edison Spotlight: New
York Investment Team
Established in 1986,
Edison Venture Fund invests in expansion-stage applied technology
companies located in New York. With $550 million under managment,
Edison provides capital and value-added services to assist managment
in building successful companies.
Since 2003 Edison has
been prospecting both directly and through referrals in New York.
Working out of our New York City office located in One Penn Plaza,
the team discovers and supports industry leading, emerging companies
in Financial Technology, Interactive Marketing and other related
high-growth business software and services sectors. Edison collaborates
with local New York investors, technology and industry leaders and
service providers.
Edison sponsors and is
active in the region's prominent venture, technology and industry
events including hosting the firm's annual Financial Technology
Roundtable events and the Interactive Marketing Summit for portfolio
company executives. On October 16, 2008 the New York team will be
hosting Edison's first New York regional sharing meeting with our
network of entrepreneurs, board members and advisors, limited partners
and service providers. The Edison team can regularly be found speaking
on panels in entrepreneurial forums.

Ryan Ziegler, Investment Manager and Principal identifies
and leads new investment opportunities in the New York region.
He focuses on and evaluates investment opportunities in interactive
marketing and digital media, financial services, enterprise
software and tech-enabled business services. He is an active
speaker and participant in regional venture groups, respective
industry, entrepreneurial and technology organizations.

Dahlia Kang, Business Development Associate identifies
investment candidates and contacts entrepreneurs directly.
She qualifies opportunities for senior Edison investment professionals
and monitors emerging businesses in the region. She also specializes
in interactive marketing, digital media, wireless, enterprise
infrastructure and networking communications.

Tim Foster, Business Development Manager manages Edison's
referral source network of service provider professionals
and financing sources in the region. Tim identifies and builds
new relationships for mutual referral opportunities. Tim regularly
attends regional trade, venture and networking events and
works closely with entrepreneurial and technology-related
organizations such as ACG, MAVA, ETC, SIIA, VIANY and the
NJTC.
