As a member of the HCIT Investment team, Donna states we are on "the third wave" of the convergence of Pharma and Healthcare IT. Passionate about how information technology can impact care and more importantly outcomes of patients; she is engaged with companies early and has a comprehensive understanding of the landscape. Donna is fluent in healthcare market trends and the science driving innovation; making her a powerful force in recognizing who of her prospects has the strength to succeed.
Donna is member of the NJ team and originates, evaluates and leads investments in the HCIT sector.
Donna is the Director of iContracts a Contract Management solution provider for Life Sciences and Healthcare. She has been an Observer on the boards of Cadient, HMS, Octagon and Portico Systems. She currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Health Technology Transformation, ACG Princeton, NJEN, NJTC - IT Board and Montgomery County Community College – Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Additionally Donna is a mentor for Blueprint Health, a startup accelerator based in New York City that helps entrepreneurs improve the health and wellness industry.
Prior Experience
Donna has been covering the Pharma and Healthcare IT sector since joining Edison in 2002 as an Associate. In 2006 as VP of Business Development, she recruited, trained and managed the conversion of a region based approach to an industry directed strategy. Donna led the business development group to become industry experts, setting an aggressive pace of generating new investment opportunities. Donna recognized new information technology trends for the firm and directed the sector-focused research executed by her team. She and her team were in communications with over 4,000 investment candidates across multiple industry segments. Business Development played a key role in maintaining a solid pipeline of investment candidates and paving the way for the next-generation breed of business leaders.
Donna has over 15 years experience in sales, marketing and business development in the software industry. She was Vice President of Sales, North America, for Connextive—an integration software company providing Business Process Management solutions and an exited Edison investment. Donna was also Regional Sales Manager for Princeton Softech, providing enterprise database management solutions to hospital and payers as well as other industries.

Education
An attendant of Rutgers College of Pharmacy, she received a B.A. Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from Rutgers University.
As a competitive athlete, I learned from a young age that not all results come as quick as you would like. The goal may be clear but the path to accomplishment less obvious. Hard work and perseverance are a given; then parsing the long-term goal into smaller incremental goals is the only way to attain the results you desire. Business objectives are like training for a marathon…you have to put the mileage in and successfully complete milestones in order to perform well in the race.
